GLPS FairThe International Student Program held its Global Learning Program and Services Fair at Skyline College on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The purpose of this event was to give information about the various available programs and services that benefit students. The programs and services included the International Student Program that assists students from other countries who seek to acquire education at Skyline College. Other programs were highlighted such as Study Abroad which is housed at Skyline College. Study Abroad offers scholarships to students studying in the San Mateo County Community College District with an interest to study and intern abroad in countries like Italy and London. Centers for International Trade Development was also there to provide the resources and services available to the Skyline College community.

The Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) is another useful service that provides entrepreneurial skills to young adults and high school students. It offers entrepreneurship certificate programs, and holds business plan competitions in which college students compete for seed money. The Global Learning Program and Services Fair was well attended by students who went to the information tables, and chatted with the representatives. One of the representatives, Tina Luong, is a former Skyline College, who was granted a scholarship to study in Hong Kong. She shared her exciting experience of living abroad in a new culture and studying as an international student.
