Once again the Skyline College ECE/EDU Department successfully hosted their annual “Career Pathways in Education” event. Skyline College students had the opportunity to hear from two of Skyline Colleges own, Martina Center, Retention Specialist with Middle College and Marlboro Bato, Counselor and Co- advisor of the Kababayan Learning Community. These two along with Skyline College ECE/EDU alumni, Natalie Aguliar, inspired students by sharing their personal, educational, and professional stories of working in the field of education.
Students also heard presentations from the PATH program at San Francisco State University, and the San Francisco Unified School District about various employment opportunities working with children. All those who attended received a Certificate of Attendance that counts towards professional growth hours necessary for educators with a California Child Development Permit.
