The Black and Brown Scholars (BBS) hosted its financial literacy workshop at the Intercultural Center on Thursday, February 22nd. Open to all men of color students at Skyline College, about 40 students, staff, and faculty came together to learn how to invest and build their credit.

BBS President, Andy Casas presented facts about checking accounts, credit cards, and retirement accounts. He further went into depth about the importance of investing and how to invest. As this topic is something he is passionate about, Andy wanted to share this knowledge with the BBS community so that they too can find financial success. All attendees left with a strong foundation of financial literacy so that they can be more financially responsible.

The next BBS Slide Thru Session is scheduled for Thursday, March 7th, and will cover topics related to professionalism.
