Throughout the month of April, Skyline College Library is celebrating National Poetry Month and Earth Day!

In celebrating National Poetry Month, the Library celebrates our featured poets and an “Ode to Furry Friends!” Come check out the book displays and collections of various poets featured at the Library, Building 5, second floor. Share your creative spirit and write a poem or create artwork at our interactive Library display from now until April 28th, 2023. On Wednesday, April 19th, 2023, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., meet Pumpkin, the PAT cat! De-stressing with animals has been proven to make one feel better, so we are grateful for the Peninsula Humane Society Volunteer Program visiting us again. And on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., join us for light refreshments and poetry reading! Just simply listen in or read an original poem or a poem from your favorite author that is an ode to furry friend(s).

For Earth Day, please check out our physical and virtual collections about sustainability. Please visit the Library’s Events & Outreach webpage for more information. Questions? Please Contact Pia Walawalkar, Equity and Outreach Librarian, at walawalkars@smccd.edu. —
