bon appetit logoIn honor of Earth Day on April 22, 2015, the Hospitality and Tourism Management Program at Skyline College is thrilled to announce an opportunity to learn more about the Restaurant Management Pathway now available. Foodies and aspiring leaders will be excited to learn that as part of Skyline College’s newly developed Hospitality and Tourism Management Program, there is a Restaurant and Corporate Food Service Emphasis where students can prepare for exciting careers in leadership positions in companies like Bon Appétit Management Company, Centerplate, Epicurean Group or free standing restaurant companies like Cheesecake Factory, Michael Mina, and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program will commemorate Earth Day by showcasing leaders in the industry who are committed to environmentally conscious practices and the “farm-to-fork” movement. A food truck from Whisk and innovative food offerings from corporate food service provider Bon Appetit will be available for students to experience and gain valuable insight around leading practices in sustainable food service operations.

Additionally, students will be able to learn about Skyline College’s water refilling stations and the importance of reducing their environmental foot print by eliminating the use of plastic bottles.
