The planning for National TRiO Day 2015 has begun. Skyline College’s TRiO Student Support Services, Cañada College’s TRiO Student Support Services and TRiO Upward Bound programs are partnering to plan the 5th Annual National TRiO Day, which will be hosted this year at Cañada College on Saturday, February 21, 2015. This one day conference is planned, organized, and facilitated by the students of all three TRiO programs.
This conference is designed to help and support the successful transition of TRiO students into four-year institutions of higher education. Workshop topics have been solidified, which will include: managing test anxiety, college success/learning to avoid self-sabotage and procrastination, alumni transition panel, writing personal statements, and challenges of being a first generation student.
