On May 4, 2026, the TRIO Program joyfully hosted its annual TRIO Scholarship & Graduation Celebration, a heartfelt event dedicated to honoring the hard work, determination, and accomplishments of our graduating students and scholarship recipients. This special gathering brought together students, faculty, staff, family members, and supporters to celebrate the academic success and resilience of TRIO participants.
Our Interim Dean, Will Minnich, opened the event with warm remarks, congratulating students on their achievements and recognizing the dedication and perseverance needed to reach their educational goals. Students were celebrated not only for their academic successes but also for the personal growth and resilience they exhibited throughout their educational journeys.
A standout moment of the celebration was the recognition of 10 TRIO Scholarship recipients and graduating students. This Academic Year’s Graduating Cohort proudly includes:
– 30 Associate of Arts (AA) degrees
– 25 Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) degrees
– 16 Associate of Science (AS) degrees
– 41 Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) degrees
– 20 Certificate recipients
Graduates and certificate recipients received certificates and regalia, celebrating their achievements alongside peers, mentors, and loved ones. Group photos with Dr. Carter, Dr. Ford, and Dean Minnich captured the joy and pride of the occasion, marking a significant milestone in each student’s academic journey.
The celebration, wrapped up with delicious food, lively music, and much fun, created a joyful and supportive atmosphere for students to revel in their successes. This event truly reflected the TRIO Program’s unwavering commitment, alongside S.T.E.P.S partnership to empower students through academic support, mentorship, leadership development, and equitable access to higher education opportunities.
The TRIO Scholarship & Graduation Celebration was a powerful reminder of the incredible milestones students can achieve through perseverance, community support, and dedication to their goals. As the graduates prepare to transfer, embark on careers, or continue their educational journeys, the TRIO family proudly celebrates their accomplishments and eagerly anticipates their continued success!
