On February 26, the Transfer Center and Disability Resource Center teamed up to provide local high school counselors with a hot breakfast and informational updates. High school counselors from both public and private schools received a warm welcome from Dean Angelica Garcia and Interim Dean Will Minnich.
Attendees learned about the latest Transfer Center updates and workshops from Counselor/Coordinator Suzanne Poma. The DRC’s Counselor/Coordinator, Melissa Matthews, and Learning Disability Specialist, Carol Newkirk announced DRC’s upcoming Priority Enrollment Program event for incoming high school students. The meeting concluded with some great suggestions on how to continue strengthening the relationships between local high schools and Skyline College!
