Financial Aid Labs ScheduleDo your students need help with paying tuition and other educational expenses?  The Financial Aid Office can help – there is still time to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act (Dream Act) for both 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic year.

Though the March 2 Cal Grant Priority Deadline has passed, students are still able to submit a FAFSA or Dream Act application for year-round aid such as, the Board of Governors (BOG) Fee Waiver and Federal Pell Grant. Students attending a California Community College can still qualify for the Competitive Cal Grant which has a deadline of September 2, 2016.

Please encourage your students to attend a free weekly Financial Aid Application Lab held:

  • Every Tuesday: 1:30-2:30 p.m. in Bldg. 2, 2117-B
  • Every Wednesday: 4:00-5:30 p.m. in Bldg. 2, 2117-B

Please continue to encourage your students to apply for financial aid, please contact Jocelyn Vila, Program Services Coordinator at vilaj@smccd.edu to schedule a financial aid presentation in your classroom.  Financial Aid Ambassador, Leitu Takapu, Lesley Bode and Michael Mark are available to come to your class and give a brief financial aid presentation.
