The Skyline View took home another general excellence award for its print newspaper at the 2025 Journalism Association of Community Colleges NorCal Regional Conference held at San Jose State University on October 25, 2025. A dozen staff members attended the day-long conference, which brings together community college journalism students from all over Northern California. The students competed in contests, attended workshops, and heard from a keynote speaker.

In addition to the general excellence award, current opinions editor Anthoney Baptista clinched first place in the on-the-spot newswriting contest, while current editor in chief Antonio Peeples got second place for sports writing. Other wins included fourth place in illustration, third place in social media, and honorable mentions in critical review.

In other TSV news, Antonio Peeples and former Fulbright scholar Sheryl Anne Sanchez Lugtu earned a second place for podcasting from the SF Press Club.
