Christina Trujillo is the newest addition to The Learning Center (TLC) staff, starting her position of full-time Instructional Aide II on August 31. Christina comes to us from Purchase College in the State University of New York system, where she supported a wide range of tutoring and academic support programs. Christina holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a B.A. in Literature from UC Santa Cruz. Christina will provide support for tutoring in the Writing and Reading Lab; hiring, training, and supervision of peer tutors and student staff, and she will take the lead role in planning and scheduling academic success workshops each semester.
We are very excited to have Christina here and we can’t wait to get her plugged in to all of our TLC programs and services. If you are curious about academic success workshops, interested in leading a workshop, or just want to stop by and say hi you can find us on the first floor of Building 5, and Christina is usually in the Writing and Reading Lab area. Christina can be reached directly at trujilloc@smccd.edu.
