Welcome Week 01 (08/13/2025 – 08/14/2025)
From August 13 to 14, we celebrated Welcome Week 01. We know how confusing the first day
can be for incoming and returning students; therefore, the Associated Students of Skyline College (ASSC) team was in the middle of the quad to welcome students in and offer them support, guiding them to their classes and answering any questions they may have. We encouraged students to approach the booth to get to know us or to receive a goodie from the table! We offered goodie bags with school supplies, coffee, tea, hot water, and donuts to
students around campus!
Welcome Week 02 (08/19/2025 & 08/21/2025)
On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, and Thursday, August 21, 2025, we held an Academic and Personal Resource Fair. We want students to feel seen and comfortable at Skyline College. To do this, we collaborated with various programs on campus to encourage students to learn about the ways we can support them. To encourage students to explore the different programs around and how we can support them, we had stamp cards that students could redeem for boba.
Welcome Week 03 (08/26/2025 – 08/28/2025)
From Tuesday, August 26, to Thursday, August 28, we held various activities in an effort to bond with the students at Skyline College. On Tuesday, we had Cookie & Cupcake Decorating, where students could create their own design on their sweets! On Wednesday, we had students participate in Game Time, where we had various board games (Uno, Connect 4, flip 7, etc) for students to participate in. On Thursday, we had Arts & Crafts where individuals were encouraged to create their own crochet flower bouquet, charm bracelet, or beaded bracelet for themselves or a loved one!
This week, we had the opportunity to chat with other students on campus and allow them to unwind before or after their classes. On all three days, we held a Scavenger Hunt. Students were motivated to earn a voucher by discovering and learning about various programs on campus, including Study Abroad, The Learning Center, and the Veterans Resource Center, among others.
