On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Skyline College’s Strategic Partnerships & Workforce Development (SPWD) Career Services held their semesterly Career Fair in the Farallon Room (Building 12) from 10 am to 2 pm. This was a great time for students and community members alike to come and speak with representatives seeking new talent. Some of the companies that were in attendance were Bank of America, Kumon, Expeditors, and various governmental institutions.
Last year’s Career Fair had well over thirty companies looking to hire Skyline students and community members from the area, and this year, it was over forty in attendance. The great thing about our Career Fair is that Career Services have a tangible in-road to the hiring process at said companies, so if anyone found an opportunity that tickled their fancy they can come and see one of the Career Readiness Coordinators and work on their resumes and ask Career Readiness Coordinator to reach out directly or if they are ready to go they can have an onsite interview right then and there, just like a student did with Behavioral Health and Recovery Services for San Mateo County.
It is well known that over 80% of jobs are not advertised and are only available through networking, so keep an eye out for our next event, come, begin building your network, and show up to show out!
