Becoming an EMT leads you to a stable and fulfilling career – ideal for those who are passionate about helping others and making a difference in their community. With a strong foundation in emergency services, our program alumni have gone on to pursue paramedicine, firefighting, nursing, law enforcement, and other admirable professions.
Ready to take the next step? The application process just got an upgrade!
Skyline College’s EMT Program now uses a lottery-based application system, giving qualified applicants a clear and fair path to the program. If we receive over 30 eligible applicants, applicants will be entered into a lottery for admission and waitlist placement. Students must be 18 years or older and upload a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate in the program application to be considered eligible.
The program application for Spring 2027 is open September 4 – December 6, 2026. The spring semester begins on January 19, 2027! Visit the EMT website to get started.
