The Black and Brown Scholars Program at Skyline College recently hosted its Spring 2026 Open House as a welcoming, community-centered “slide-thru” session focused on connection, conversation, and collective support.

Designed as an informal gathering, the Open House created space for students to build relationships with one another, learn about the Black and Brown Scholars’ mission, and connect directly with BBS student leaders and campus partners from Counseling, Project Change, International Program, Promise Scholars, and the Transfer Center. Through small-group conversations, students introduced themselves, shared their goals, and reflected on what they were looking forward to in the Spring semester.

Participants also learned about upcoming Spring 2026 programming and were guided on how to stay connected through the Skyline College website and Instagram. With pizza, open dialogue, and a relaxed atmosphere, the event emphasized accessibility, belonging, and authentic relationship-building.

The Spring 2026 Open House reinforced Black and Brown Scholars’ commitment to creating spaces where students feel supported, informed, and empowered to navigate their academic journeys.
