Please join the Internship Program in welcoming new interns into the Internship Program for the Spring 2014 semester. The Internship Program is a collaborative effort between the Center for International Trade Development, the Skyline College Career Resources Center, the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) and the new Retail Hospitality & Tourism Program (RHT), and provides real-world job experience to students interested in business, international trade, international tourism and other related industries. Interns are eligible to receive college credit through the Cooperative Education Program and have access to professional development opportunities at the College and throughout the region.
On Monday, February 24, the new intern class attended an orientation and workshop to acclimate them into the program. The interns were given assessments to determine specific areas of interest and were treated to a presentation on the importance of obtaining job skills. The orientation featured speakers from the Career Resource Center, YEP, CITD and the RHT program. All programs offered their support and resources to the interns.
Via the Internship program, students are exposed to valuable experiences such as:
- Networking events
- Business Seminars
- Trade Conferences
- International Delegation Events and Meetings
- In-bound Trade Missions
- And more!
This internship opportunity is available each academic semester to all Skyline College students regardless of their field of study. Congratulations to the new class of interns and welcome to the family.
