The 2018-2019 Student-Athlete State report has posted to the Cal PASS Plus website (https://www.calpassplus.org/Home ), and Skyline College student-athletes shine in a number of areas in comparison to other colleges in the state that offer athletics. Currently, 109 community colleges offer athletics in California.
Skyline College female student-athletes had the best grade point average (GPA) among community colleges in California in 2018-2019 with a 3.30 GPA. Female student-athletes also tied for 9th in course completion rates, tied for 7th in course completion of transfer English and tied for 26th in course completion of transfer Math. Not to be outdone, our male student-athletes placed 4th in GPA, tied for 10th in course completion rates, tied for 7th in course completion of transfer English and tied for 36th in course completion of transfer Math. Finally, the statistics show that our student-athletes as a group complete more units while attempting fewer units than the median average for student-athletes across the state.
These impressive statistics are an indication of the hard work of our students, faculty, staff and administration at Skyline College. Congratulations to all on a job well done.
