On Saturday October 21, 2023, the Skyline College Speech and Debate Team traveled to the University of Nevada Reno to compete in the “Biggest Little City Classic Tournament”. Students competed in IPDA debate and Impromptu Speaking. After competing in grueling 12+ hour day of competition, students placed in the following events:
Speech
•3rd place in Impromptu: Elian Fontanilla
•12th place in Impromptu: Carlo Cortez
Debate Top Speaker Awards
•7th: Cem Quinto
•11th: Elian Fontanilla
•12th: Carlo Cortez
