On May 7, Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) at Skyline College hosted Sarahi Cuevas, the Outreach Associate at ScholarMatch, a nonprofit that supports first-generation college students. Sarahi is currently supporting outreach efforts for ScholarMatch’s new STEM Transfer Program, which assists community college students pursuing STEM degrees and planning to transfer to four-year universities. She presented this exciting new program and guided students through the application process.
STEM students enjoyed pizza while learning about how this new program can benefit them. They were particularly interested in the possibility of being matched with a transfer coach.
The application for the STEM transfer program is open until June 30. For more information, you may visit: https://www.scholarmatch.org/students/stem
