The Embracing Cultures, Heritages, & Origins (ECHO) Club hosted a De-Stress Workshop in the Intercultural Center, Building 4, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The workshop provided students with a space to relax, recharge, and reconnect before their midterms. Zwe Htet Aung (Vice-President of ECHO Club) welcomed participants to the event with a short introduction. To set the mood and encourage socializing, Zwe guided the participants to share about themselves and their interests.

The main activities were the board game table and the origami station. Participants alternated between the two stations to enjoy whatever activities they wanted. The game station offered a variety of fun games, including UNO, Sushi Go, Jenga, Crazy Cat Lady, and more. The students chose to play Jenga and then UNO. There were loud cheers each time the Jenga tower tumbled, followed by the loud crash of the blocks. UNO was a little more sedate, but it brought out everyone’s competitive spirits!

The origami station also offered a space where participants could express their creativity by folding various origami shapes. Working together while folding their own shapes, they followed the printed instructions, encouraging each other not to give up. A variety of origami was folded, such as paper hearts, boxes, and cranes. Participants who successfully folded origami shapes were given a prize. The event concluded at 1:30 p.m., with participants thanking Zwe and ECHO Club for providing a respite from their busy schedules.

The ECHO Club thanks everyone who attended and contributed to the workshop’s success. The club is excited to continue its mission of building community and promoting cultural diversity at Skyline College and invites everyone to participate in upcoming events.
