The Psychology Department is pleased to announce they are hosting a series of conversations with professionals in the field of psychology. The Careers in Psychology Speaker Series is designed with the intent of sharing information about different careers in the discipline.
The series kicked off on Thursday, March 25th, with our own Liz Llamas from Skyline College’s Health and Wellness Center. During the 60-minute conversation, Liz shared information specific to the career of therapist, including job duties, academic and training requirements, job outlook, and benefits and challenges related to the job.
Two additional conversations are scheduled this semester:
- April 15, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Rami Mogannam, Ph.D., will be sharing information about forensic psychology. Bonus: Rami is a former Skyline College student!
- May 5, from 1:00-2:00 p.m.: Thaddeus Block, M.D., will be sharing information about the field of psychiatry.
