The Skyline College chapter of Psi Beta – a National Honor Society focusing on Psychology – earned a Chapter of Excellence award for the 2022-2023 academic year.
This designation is awarded to chapters that engage in activities demonstrating the Psi Beta pillars of leadership, scholarship, research, and community service. Examples of Psi Beta illustrating these pillars include hosting campus-wide events, attending the Western Psychological Association conference, and volunteering at various community events.
Though the Skyline College chapter of Psi Beta was established in Spring 2020, last year was the first year students met in person. The fact that they earned the award the first year back on campus indicates what powerhouses the members are.
Psi Beta has several events planned for the Fall 2023 semester. Please watch for event announcements and share them with your students.
