They did it again! The Skyline College chapter of the Psi Beta National Honor Society has been named a Chapter of Excellence for the fourth year in a row!
To earn this designation, chapters must demonstrate excellence in leadership, scholarship, research, and community service. Our chapter fulfills these commitments in many ways, including holding weekly meetings and hosting guest speakers, attending and presenting at research conferences, and volunteering in our community.
A huge thank you to Jorge Avalo, our 2025–2026 Psi Beta President, for his leadership, planning, and dedication. His hard work helped pave the way for this recognition, which was awarded to only 10 of the 160 Psi Beta chapters nationwide.
And we’re just getting started! Toby Zakharov, our current President, along with the rest of the leadership team, has some amazing things planned for this semester.
