Skyline College’s Kathleen McClung, adjunct English and creative writing professor, has just had her sixth book of poetry published. During the pandemic, Kathleen wrote the poems for Climbing the Fire Escape and Flipping the Raft: Poems on Women in the Movies, which focus on the triumph of strong female characters in various genres of movies.

Kathleen is a renowned author and was a finalist for San Francisco poet laureate in 2024. She has been a valuable member of the English Department and Skyline College for over 30 years. Her new book of poetry can be found on the publisher’s website as well as Amazon.
