The Library is excited to share details about many new changes this fall. If you’re new to campus yourself, please take a few minutes to stop by, have an informal tour and learn about our services. The Library is located in Building 5 on the second floor.

Technology Updates: In addition to iPads, Dell PC’s, calculators and other tech tools, in partnership with the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning (CTTL), the Library is pleased to begin loaning Chromebooks to students enrolled in Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) courses for the entire semester. For those needing help remotely, our services have expanded as we present our new user-friendly text and chat services as well as email and drop-in help during open hours.  

Library Space: Visitors to the Library can expect a new look soon as we anticipate new paint, modern furniture and a reconfigured space for creative work!

What’s better than books? The Library is excited to add Faculty Services Librarian, Ame Maloney to our team full time! Ame will continue supporting Skyline College’s ZTC and Open Educational Resources (OER) programs. Her office is located in CTTL and you can reach her at Last but not least, the Library welcomes Dean of Academic Support & Learning Technologies (ASLT) Rolin Moe to lead our team!

Other Resources: A host of new article databases are now available to students, staff and faculty from the Library’s website and off campus with a library card. Ranging from scholarly to practical, new databases include Environmental Studiesthe ever popular Chilton Library for auto maintenance and repairs, and many more. Stay tuned!

Individual librarians will be reaching out soon to showcase key databases with your department or division. As always, interesting new fiction and non-fiction books are on display at the front of the Library. A new research guide for understanding Intersectionality and a guide to the Skyline College Archives are also now available.
