Students in Introduction to Psychobiology completed an assignment aimed at helping them master the structures and functions of neurons. This assignment was designed with equity in mind, offering students the freedom to present the material in any way they liked, using the materials of their choice. The assignment also allowed them to showcase their unique perspectives, interests, and talents, which resulted in a diverse range of neuron representations — some students created painted T-shirts, Minecraft videos, and models made from clay, candy, and yarn, while others composed original songs—one of which you can listen to on YouTube. These creative works will be on display in the glass cabinet at the Intercultural Center until February 28. Special thanks to the Student Equity and Support Programs Division for generously lending us the cabinet.
