The Associated Students of Skyline College (ASSC) highlighted local Latinx/ Hispanic small businesses in the Bay Area at their event on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. They collaborated with vendors such as Strawberry Scribblesss, Ten-Ten’s Homemade Baked Goodies, Summer Bloom, Luz De Luna Creations, and Calibrated Chakras!

Students were able to purchase from these vendors, learn about them, gain inspiration, and network. ASSC collaborated with Irene Caravajal to host a free interactive workshop. Irene brought a mobile art studio known as “The Frozen Trojan Horse,” where students could participate in screen-printing a generic self-portrait and decorate it in a way that encapsulates their identities.

To celebrate Latinx/ Hispanic Heritage Month, ASSC brought back Loteria – a traditional Mexican board game. Overall, the Latinx/Hispanic Vendor Fair successfully brought people together, provided support, and created a fun and competitive atmosphere within the community.
