On Friday, January 31, 2020, the International Student Program (ISP) hosted its Spring Welcome Party. The event was held at Sea Bowl Entertainment Center in Pacifica and over 40 students made their way to the sea view venue. The event was also attended by the Dean of Global Learning Programs and Services, Russell Waldon and the ISP staff.
The purpose of the event was to welcome new international students to the Skyline College community and welcome back continuing students. Afaq Ahmed from Pakistan, a new international student said, “I loved the event, and I’m glad I was able to make new friends because of it. I think ISP should have more of these events. They help us international students get together, share our experiences, and help each other grow.”
The students had a blast enjoying friendly competition between each other and with the ISP staff while taking numerous photos and videos of themselves bowling. In between bites of pizza and fries, new friendships were formed and memories were made.
The next ISP event will be our signature spring event, the Global Extravaganza on April 21, 2020!
