On April 19, 2024, the International Student Program (ISP) organized a memorable campus tour for international students to Stanford University. The tour, which spanned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., was designed to provide a comprehensive view of the campus, its rich history, and its diverse culture. With a group of 10 students and staff in attendance, the event proved to be an engaging experience for all.

The tour started at the Visitor Center, a common point for prospective students and visitors. As the group assembled, the tour guides, current students at Stanford University, welcomed everyone with a warm smile and an engaging introduction to Stanford’s rich history and diverse academic offerings.

From the Visitor Center, the group headed to the Main Quadrangle, a beautiful area with stunning architecture and iconic picture-taking landmarks. The tour guide provided insightful details about the buildings and the area’s history. The next stop was the famous Memorial Church, a historic landmark that is part of Stanford University’s history. As the group walked through the church, they were awed by the stunning stained-glass windows and mosaics, which left a lasting impression on the attendees.

Continuing the tour, the group made their way to the student housing area, where they were allowed to explore the living quarters of Stanford’s students. This provided an insightful glimpse into campus life and the sororities there. The tour guides were knowledgeable and provided an interesting commentary about the different areas of the campus.

As the tour concluded, the group gathered for a final discussion, during which they were given time to ask the tour guides any questions they had in mind. Ultimately, the tour inspired and enlightened the participants, leaving them with a deeper appreciation for Stanford University and all it has to offer. Whether they were drawn to the academic opportunities or the breathtaking architecture, the attendees left with excitement and curiosity about the possibilities.
