On Saturday, October 5, Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta Honor Society members walked with hundreds of others to raise funds for The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). The NAMI walk is an annual event that Honor students have attended for the past three years.

The goal of the walk was to reduce stigma surrounding mental health challenges, spread mental health awareness, and raise funds for free, essential mental health services.
As of October 9, the walk has raised $235,380, with donations still coming in. These funds will be used to start new support groups, expand programs, train program facilitators, and reach more audiences than ever.
Psi Beta meets every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Building 6, Room 6-203. Our activities include psychology-based discussions, Thriving Thursdays, volunteer/community engagement events, and Giving Away Psychology (GAP) presentations.
