On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the Guardian Scholars, NextUp, CARE, and CalWORKs programs hosted “Halloween Your Way to Connections ” in the Intercultural Center (Building 4, Room 4240). The event created a welcoming space for students to connect, celebrate the season, and foster a stronger sense of community across programs.
From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the Intercultural Center came alive with laughter, music, and creative costumes as students enjoyed refreshments, took photos, and shared stories. Program staff, including Jose Milan, Karmann Robbins, and other team members from each program, welcomed attendees, encouraged networking, and provided information about available student resources.
The celebration highlighted the importance of building meaningful relationships beyond the classroom while offering a lighthearted break during the busy semester. Events like Halloween Your Way to Connections continue to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration among Skyline College support programs, reminding students that they have a strong network of support cheering them on.
