Florence, ItalyThe SMCCCD Study Abroad office is happy to announce that the Gilman/ Gilman-McCain Scholarships are now open for programs taking place between the dates May 1, 2021- April 20, 2022. These scholarships are through the U.S. Department of State and offer students up to $5,000 to study abroad. They include both virtual and in-person study abroad opportunities. If you are a U.S. citizen and eligible for the Pell Grant, then the Gilman Scholarship is the one for you! If you are a child dependent of an active-duty military member and receive any type of Title IV Federal Financial Aid, you are eligible to apply for the Gilman-McCain Scholarship!

The application deadline for both scholarships is on March 2, 2021.
