On Tuesday evening, Feb 24, library faculty and staff hosted a fun live Trivia game night. The first of its kind, the event welcomed people from all over campus to come together in a movie-theater-style setting to play against one another with their knowledge of “Movies & Books!”

There were three rounds of 15 questions, all of them based on popular movies, books, actors, authors, and even some anime! Fresh popcorn was served, along with other free snacks and fizzy sodas. Each team used its own smartphone to join the live online game. By scanning a QR code projected on a large screen, everyone was able to race and record their answers to each question. The fun and techy app used was called Crowdpurr.com, and everyone agreed it was easy to use and super fun!

After three rounds of questions and answers, the top-scoring teams added up their points to see who won the highest overall points, and the Third, Second, and First Place Winners chose from three very cool Movie & Book-themed prizes:  a clip-on book reading light; a pair of oversized movie rolling dice; and even a s’mores cooking set!

Bummed you missed it? Well, no worries; we’re going to do it all again in May! So, plan on joining in on the fun! Our next Trivia Night at the Library is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5th, at 5 pm.  The theme next time will be Music & Art. (Don’t worry, we make most of the questions easy and fun!) Bring a friend or two, or come in solo to show off your knowledge of “Art & Music!” We’ll have more free snacks and more awesome prizes to take home! Students, clubs, teachers, departments, and any campus staff can sign up to play or just show up on the night of.

We look forward to hosting a memorable Trivia experience with you during De-Stress Week at The Skyline Library! SIGN UP TODAY!
