Former Men’s Basketball Players Receive Academic Recognition Noah Haynesworth was selected from over 24,000 student-athletes in California to the 2019-20 California Community College Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. He was the only men’s basketball player to receive the distinction this year. The award concludes an outstanding athletic and academic career for Noah at Skyline College. In addition to this honor, Noah was voted the top men’s basketball scholar-athlete in Northern California, while also being named Academic All-State. Noah excelled on the court as well. He was named All-Conference and team MVP. Noah is currently continuing his education and athletic career at UC Davis.

Jacob Salinero was awarded the 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Scholar Award for recording the highest GPA among all men’s basketball student-athletes in the 13-team conference. This comes on the heels of Jacob being named to the 2019-20 All-Academic Team. Jacob started the final eleven games of the season for Sonoma State University. He shot a team-high 42% from the 3-point line.

Masie Mohammadi was named to the 2020-21 Golden State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. He earned a 3.82 GPA majoring in Business Administration. Masie also shot a team-high 43% from the 3-point line this season, while starting 11 of 12 games.
