The Associated Students of Skyline College are wrapping up Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI) by hosting a Faces of Asia & the Pacific Islands Cultural Bazaar and a spoken word event with Filipino-American poet Aimee Suzara next week.

The cultural bazaar will be this Monday, May 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Fireside Dining Room in Building 6 and will feature vendors from all over the Bay Area. There will be food and drinks with a valid Student ID, entertainment, community partners and a cultural regalia walk. Check out our Facebook page for more information on each!

On Wednesday, May 11 there will be a spoken word event and book signing with Filipino-American poet, playwright and performer Aimee Suzara. Her mission is to create, and help others create, poetic and theatrical work about race, gender, and the body to provoke dialogue and social change. Join us in the Multicultural Center in Building 4 at 11:00 a.m. for the spoken word event. Book signing of Aimee’s debut book Souvenir will conclude the event.
