Are you interested in sustainability? Are you interested in taking part in a podcast? The Energize Colleges program, partnered with Skyline College will be hosting a podcast to help inform viewers about the diverse world of sustainability and how they can make their mark. We are looking for three student interns to create and publish podcast episodes on a variety of sustainability subjects. These subjects can include, but are not limited to, transportation, energy, psychology, business, mathematics, physics, history, and more. Even if you’re new to sustainability we hope this podcast will be an opportunity to build/grow your passion for sustainability. By connecting with professionals and researching technologies, practices, and innovations, we hope to provide a unique and informative podcast to inspire others to be more sustainable in their careers and everyday lives. You will be part of a remote three-person team working on research, production, and publication of a virtual podcast.
Requirements:
– Must be a currently enrolled Skyline College student
– An interest/passion for sustainability, or the willingness to expand your knowledge
– Skills with podcast editing, or an interest to gain/improve on those skills
Additional Information
– Interns will receive $15 an hour
– Interns will work a total of 75 hours over the course of the project
– Interns will gain 1 unit of academic credit through Journalism 695 independent study course
– Internship will begin in January 2021 and end in April 2021
– Interns must be able to provide valid Federal I-9 form required identification and authorization for employment
