On Monday, September 22, 2025, ECHO Club (Embracing Cultures, heritages and Origins) held its first event of the Fall 2025 semester with a Cultural Exchange. The purpose of the event was to promote connection and understanding among club members and new members through cultural exchange, getting to know each other, and celebrating the diversity of the countries and cultures they represent.

A total of 15 participants attended the event which began with welcoming and introductions of the new officers: Sky Wun (Co-president), Maria Camila Ore Sifuentes (Co-president and Treasurer), Noel Zwe Htet Aung (Vice President), Pamela Vazquez (SOCC Liaison & Secretary), Thu Shun Hay Thi Zin (Outreach and Engagement Officer) and Louis Zin (Media Officer).

The event had three activities, the first one was “Diversity Map,” where each participant introduced themselves, learned about other countries, and visualized the diversity of the group. The second activity was a “Cultural Trivia,” where participants have fun while learning about other countries and cultures, promoting connection between them and celebrating diversity, while having pizza, drinks, and snacks. Participants had the opportunity to win prizes for the first three places.

The last activity was a “Cultural Passport,” where each participant designed and built their own passport to collect signatures from fellow event attendees, thereby discovering cultural facts in a fun way. This activity left each participant with a tangible souvenir of the event.

ECHO Club is excited to continue fostering connections and celebrating cultural diversity throughout the semester. We warmly invite anyone interested in exploring new cultures, sharing their own heritage, and building friendships to join us at our upcoming events.
