On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the ECHO club (Embracing Cultures, Heritages and Origins Club) hosted a Collage of Cultures event, their third gathering for Spring 2025. Students and staff were invited to craft paper collages that reflect their culture, personality, and experiences while connecting with others. The event fostered expression and creativity of various cultural backgrounds and was a resounding success with a total of ten participants.

The event opened with a friendly greeting to the attendees with a quick run-down of the collage-making process and materials. The gathering was kicked off by the lead, Shwe Thel Nway (Outreach and Engagement Officer) with the support of Khin Wun (Sky) (SOCC Liaison) and Mabel Lynn (President).

The participants gathered around the beautifully displayed magazines, markers, and other crafting materials. The club provided a variety of magazines collected from a wide range of sources, including the Skyline College Library. After scanning through the array of magazines and materials, the attendees made their own collages while conversing with each other, making new friends and connections. In addition to showcasing the creativity and innovation of their stunning personal collages, everyone had a great time through meaningful interactions which encouraged them to look forward to ECHO Club’s upcoming events in this semester.
