Happy Friday! Today’s Dual Enrollment spotlight features an inspiring story of Daniel Farrell, a high school senior at Menlo-Atherton High School and a student in Skyline College’s Dual Enrollment program who will be entering college with over 50 college credits!

Daniel began taking concurrent enrollment courses as a freshman and, now as a senior, has completed 51 units from both concurrent and dual enrollment courses!

Currently, Daniel excels in our Dual Enrollment Digital Arts and Media program class, taught by Mr. Giambruno (also known as Mr. G). He is exploring his passion and building his skills to prepare him for his future goal of becoming a filmmaker.

The Dual Enrollment team recently interviewed Daniel to learn more about his experience with his current Digital Arts class and asked how it has impacted him. Daniel shared how the rigor of his Digital Media college courses contributed to the creation of his very own media firm, “Te Dua Media,” as well as his academic journey as a filmmaker.

Daniel Farrell, a senior at Menlo-Atherton High School, has already earned over 50 college credits!

“My film courses have helped me become a more well-rounded filmmaker, and they’ve given me valuable experience in the field,” Daniel shared.

Students like Daniel, taking these Dual Enrollment courses, have the opportunity to earn high school credits and college credits simultaneously while exploring their interests and potential career paths as early as high school. With Instructors like Mr. G, who is also a Dual Enrollment instructor for Skyline and Cañada Colleges, students are continuously inspired and shaped for future careers.

We wish Daniel the best of luck with his academic and career endeavors and we hope to see one of his ads or films one day!
