design thinkingWelcome back and we hope Spring 2018 is off to a great start! The Center for Career and Workforce Programs is thrilled to share, as part of the Strong Workforce Program, a highly engaging workshop series: Design Thinking Deep Dive. This experience is a partnership with SAP and Maureen Carroll, Ph.D. founder of Lime Design Associates and lecturer at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design ( where she co-teaches Hacking Your Innovation Mindset and the Fellowship Program as a Design Ally. Additionally, she is the director of Stanford University’s REDlab, which conducts research on the intersection of design thinking and learning.

Participants of the Design Thinking Deep Dive will mirror the teachings from the d. school which builds on methods from across the field of design to create learning experiences that help individuals unlock their creative potential and apply it to the world. This opportunity is designed to engage faculty in developing design thinkers to innovate, create, and act as empowered change agents to prepare and meet the challenges and opportunities of leading and learning in the 21st century. Participants will gain both an understanding of the design thinking process, build a common language around innovation, and develop the creative confidence to begin to apply the process to solve problems of practice within their school community and classrooms.
