On September 6, 2023, Student Equity & Support Programs (SESP) hosted its second Black Student Welcome Breakfast in collaboration with Umoja-ASTEP and Black Student Union.

Skyline College students came out to learn about college resources and connect with campus leaders (and each other), grab a bite to eat, and celebrate our Black Students.

A special thanks to all our Skyline College programs and services, and also to SESP Dean, Dr. Cheryl Johnson, Vice President of Instruction, Dr. Vinicio Lopez, Vice President of Student Services, Dr. Luis Escobar, and Skyline College President, Dr. Newin Orante for supporting our students and making this event a fun way for students to get to know their college.

SESP’s Black Student Welcome Breakfast is an annual event celebrating and promoting our Black student community. Everyone is always welcomed and encouraged to attend, connect, and learn more about Skyline College’s resources.
