Californa Pacific Medical Center

Twenty-five students were selected and admitted into the California Pacific Medical Center/ Skyline College Internship Program. Participants of this program are placed in the following areas: child development, rehabilitation therapy, food and nutrition, pediatric emergency, post partum/ newborn intensive care, nursing units, radiology and ultrasound.career1

Last week, students enrolled in the joint career seminar course heard Lavinia Zanassi  facilitate a discussion on high demand UCSF medical health care careers (e.g. physician assistants, speech language pathologists, physical therapy, sonography, etc). During upcoming seminars, students will have the opportunity to learn more information regarding academic health career programs from contributing Skyline College faculty* and medical professionals representing a variety of health occupations.

On February 21, 2014, Lavinia Zanassi and Alexander Jones introduced Skyline College students Nidia Alvarado and Ada Wong to their new internships located at the Radisson Hotel in Brisbane. These interns completed employment paperwork, toured their respective internship areas of human resource, event planning and guest services, and created their semester schedule including learning objectives.
