At the fifth of an on-going series of campus forums held Monday, December 5, Vice Chancellor Jose Nuñez led a discussion on the status and progress of our capital improvement projects.
Several major projects are in various stages of planning and design, including the expansion of parking lot L, construction of new Building 12 (Environmental Science), demolition of existing Building 1 and construction of a new building (Creative Arts and Social Sciences), and preparation of Building 19 (Pacific Heights) for current residents of B1 during the B1 project. Designs for other smaller projects are also underway.
State Proposition 51, passed by the voters in November, will provide funds in 2017 and 2018 for major projects in Buildings 2 and 5.
