Beta Theta Omicron chapter officers demonstrated leadership excellence last week by presenting two dynamic workshops at the Phi Theta Kappa Catalyst Convention in Kansas City.

On Friday, April 4, officers Brandon Khuu, CJ Dizon, and Thant Zayar Htut led “Interview Success: From Club Leadership to Career Advancement.” This interactive workshop, with preparation support from chapter member Rhema Palencia, equipped participants with practical interview skills applicable to club positions, transfer applications, and job searches. Attendees gained valuable insights on effectively communicating leadership experiences and translating academic achievements into compelling interview responses.

The following day, Jia Haria and Mariela Alana Ochoa presented “Orchestrating Success: Leading and Thriving in Large Teams.” Drawing from their experience managing complex chapter projects, the workshop explored effective strategies for large-team collaboration. Through real-world examples, participants learned techniques for clear communication, effective delegation, and maintaining team cohesion.

These presentations highlight Beta Theta Omicron’s commitment to leadership development and knowledge sharing within the Phi Theta Kappa community. The officers were thoroughly prepared for their presentations through dedicated mentorship from co-advisors Thanh Nguyen and Susanne Schubert. The chapter continues its tradition of excellence by not only participating in national events but also actively contributing to the growth of fellow PTK members across the country.
