Did you know that Skyline’s Bay Area Entrepreneur Center hosts all sorts of events for Skyline College students, local artists, and the downtown San Bruno community?
Calling all of our local maker, creator, or entrepreneurs! Skyline’s Bay Area Entrepreneur Center will be hosting Pop-Up Markets. Fill out our interest form to get involved in our events. The upcoming pop-up market will be held on September 30.
The center has also taken on art installations in the community, recently showcasing art from local, new, and experienced artists including Mario “SMURKS1” Guitron, Ben Agcaoili, Tara Gonzalez, Nicole Gonzalez, Steve Rama, and Marguerite Quinn. An amazing window piece brings your attention to the building, and inside you’ll see that the walls are filled with different styles of art. You can still visit the downtown office and see some of the work on display at 458 San Mateo Avenue in San Bruno.

In May, the Entrepreneur Center hosted an art event called ART.Wav. The art display at the center was open for three days leading up to the showcase night, where the local Skyline student group SYGNWAV featured art from their artists. Also included in that show were San Bruno native and digital artist Artorius Towers, Clothing Designer Malik McDaniel, and Mario Guitron, Commissioner at the City of San Bruno Culture and Arts Commission and resident Artist at AZ Gallery in Tanforan San Bruno. This event brought new faces and possible collaborations to the Bay Area Entrepreneur Center. The Twin TV hostesses, Amelia and Adinah, came by to interview and feature the artists. Director Leah McGlauchlin and assistant Olivia Vialau were happy to provide the space for Skyline College students and the San Bruno local community.
The Bay Area Entrepreneur Center is planning on monthly installations of art and pop-up marketplaces that would provide a low-cost space for budding makers and entrepreneurs to get their start.
