On February 21, 2014, Andrea Vizenor, Director of Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism at Skyline College facilitated the Bay Region: Articulation Blitz.  It was an event designed to strengthen Bay Region Hospitality and Tourism Community College articulation agreements with California State University Hospitality Programs.

The room was filled with faculty, department chairs, and articulation officers committed to building partnerships that provide exciting career pathway opportunities for students.  Attendees identified ways to align offerings in ways that provide smooth transitions for students moving from Bay Region Community Colleges to the CSU system.

The professionalism and willingness of participants speaks to the strong commitment individuals have in this sector to build exciting opportunities for students.  Christine Roumbanis represented Skyline College this event.  This activity is part of the Deputy Sector Navigator, Retail, Hospitality and Tourism “Learn and Earn” Grant awarded to Skyline College and the California Community Colleges Doing What Matters for Jobs and the Economy Initiative through the State Chancellors Office.
