On November 6, 2024, Skyline College hosted the 11th Annual Career Technical Education Day (CTE Day). The participants numbered nearly 300 high school students from local high schools such as Capuchino, El Camino, South San Francisco, and Half Moon Bay. The 11th Annual CTE Day gave potential future students a chance to experience presentations and hands-on demonstrations in technical areas such as barbering, cosmetology, automotive, EMT, respiratory therapy, and so much more.

Additionally, students had a chance to hear from Devin Lars, the Founder and CEO of Kurieo Media. Devin sent an uplifting message to the future generation of leaders by explaining how CTE created his own success and how they could also find the tools and resources needed to flourish in their chosen careers or work fields.

Under the mentorship of Jeremy Evangelista-Ramos, Soledad McCarthy, Herlene Grace Beltran, and Dr. Lauren Ford, this was the first year that Detail College Recruiter, Ryan Samn and Professor of Accounting, Tony Viertel, took the reins to organize and continue hosting CTE Day at Skyline College.
