On November 3, 2023, Skyline College welcomed over 250 students and partners from Capuchino, El Camino, Gateway, Half Moon Bay, San Mateo, South San Francisco, and Peninsula High Schools attended the 10th Annual event and had the opportunity to explore Skyline College CTE programs (such as business, early childhood education, barbering, cosmetology, esthetician, automotive, respiratory therapy to name a few), hear from guest speaker, JayR Mallari (adjunct faculty for Skyline’s barbering program and barber to several NBA celebrities) and connected with various programs and resources.
Jeremy Evangelista and Soledad McCarthy happily started CTE Day 10 years ago and have since welcomed Grace Beltran, Elian Fontanilla, Serena Ng, and Jasmine Jaciw to the planning committee.
This year’s CTE Day was a collaborative effort with SPWD, Outreach, BEPP and the San Mateo County Office of Education.
